Step 2. Select Output Settings for Windows Phone 7
Select output directory to save the converted files in "Output" drop-down list. Then set output video format. Click on “Format” bar, and select “Common Video>> H.264 Video (*.mp4)” which works well with iTunes and QuickTime Player.
Click on “Settings” and you can also adjust other settings such as video quality, audio track, Bitrates, aspect ratio, brightness, contrast, saturation, etc. Most important of all, adjust video size and bitrate for Windows Phone 7. First find the “Size” box and type in “800*480”, then set video “bitrate” down to “500~2500kbps”. Basically, higher bit rate leads to bigger file size and better visual quality. A 90min DVD movie can be compressed to 300M~ 500M when you set bit rate to “low quality”. You may also have to crop the black edges off in “Editor” in order to fit for the 800*480 display perfectly.
