Both the iPad 4 and the Google Nexus 10 are being prepared to take the holiday season by storm and obviously, people are starting to wonder which one of these two gadgets will be better than the other.
We’ve already seen how much more powerful the iPad 4 promises to be when compared to the iPad 3 and the fourth generation shapes up to be as successful as its predecessors. The Google Nexus 10 on the other hand, is a new concept coming out of the company from Mountain View, so it’s basically the first 10-incher to be delivered by Google, although in reality it has been built by Samsung.

Now, evidently, neither one of these two tablets has seen the light of day just yet, so we can’t actually compare them side-by-side in a real-life scenario, i.e. which one performs better, navigates the web faster, offers a better display and all that.
Nonetheless, we have plenty of data in order to at least compare the specs of both devices and see which one promises to deliver a better bang for its buck. Let’s take a look below.
In theory, both tablets have a beastly processor, but the one in the Nexus 10 has a higher frequency (although not shown above, it comes with 1.7 GHz, versus the 1.4 GHz CPU in the iPad). The Google tablet also arrives with double the amount of RAM, a front facing sensor with a bit more MP (it remains to be seen which sensor does a better job), a display boasting a higher resolution and pixel density, two NFC chips and it also weights a bit less than Apple’s contender.
Nevertheless, the iPad 4 comes in more variants delivering different amounts of storage including 64 GB, and Apple also offers the possibility of buying one of their top-of-the-range tablets with data connectivity, which could be a big selling point. Perhaps Google will eventually offer its own 3G / 4G enabled Nexus 10 in the future, but that remains to be seen.
On the other hand, if we’re to talk about the WiFi-only models, the Nexus 10 comes with a lower price than its Apple equivalent, so that’s a strong selling point as well.
Any thoughts? Which one of these beasts would you rather buy? (Also read iPad Mini vs. Google Nexus 7 vs. Amazon Kindle Fire HD)
