2014 blew right by us. Now the new 2015 CES has already opened in Jan. 8 , which presets us so many great new cameras and photo gear accessories. CES is not just a simple digital tools display , it can be the future-oriented flag about all those cameras or photo gears.
As for the cameras, many digital giants companies have offered their achievements. Now , let's see what we got in this 2015 CES.
Best Cameras in 2015 CES, including Nikon, Panasonic and more
Nikon
Nikon has always been a challenging one. The Nikon D5500 is a new DSLR with a number of Nkon firsts. It's the first time the company has featured a touchscreen in such a product, and also its smallest DSLR to date.
What Nikon sticks to is its higher-resolution mantra. The D5500 has a 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor at its core, with the optical low-pass filter removed for heightened sharpness, alongside the latest Expeed 4 image processing engine.
Add a 39-point autofocus system, improved live view autofocus, large 3.2-inch LCD screen, up to 5fps continuous shooting, Nikon Speedlite compatibility, and there's a lot to love about the Nikon D5500. And we should know, as we've been playing with the camera side by side to its D5300 older brother.
Panasonic
It seems the travel compat is flavor of the month, with Panasonic, like Canon, unveiling the 30x optical zoom Lumix TZ70.
The update to last year's TZ60, this is the do-it-all compact, complete with built-in electronicviewfinder - now donning a far superior 1,160k-dot resolution than its 200k-dot predecessor - and new, lower-resolution 12-megapixel sensor. Sounds like hot stuff, and we should know, we tested a pre-production camera at the end of 2014, follow the link below to find out more.
Canon
As one of the pioneer in this digital camera file, Canon always the surefire bet for product, it has taken CES 2015 to update various compacts.
Top of the stack is the 30x optical zoom PowerShot SX710 HS, a megapixel-packed update to last year's admirable SX700 HS model. But that's about as far as it goes: 20.3MP means more pixels, not more meat on the rest of its feature bones.
There's also a trimmed-back alternative, the smaller, trimmer, 18x optical zoom PowerShot SX610 HS. In addition to three point-and-shoot IXUS models to gloss over, at opposite end of the scale is the physically largest release of the pack: the PowerShot SX530 HS. Packing a whopping 50x optical zoom, this superzoom can deliver a 24-1200mm equivalent focal range.
Sony
Sony has extended its Handycam lineup to include for new full-HD camcorders – HDR-PJ670, HDR-PJ440, HDR- CX440 AND HDR – CX405. All the cameras can shoot 1080p xavc s 50Mbps high-bitrate video, and feature either B.O.SS or Optical SteadyShot with Intelligent Active mode.
Sony also unveiled the FDR-X1000V Action Cam. It has the capability to record 4K (3840x2160 pixels) video at 30fps (frames per second). The Japanese tech giant also showcased the AS200V Action Cam, which is not as expensive as the FDR-X1000V because it drops the 4K video recording capability for a lower maximum capture resolution of FHD (1080p).
Fujifilm
After consecutive years using CES as a platform to out numerous new compacts, superzooms and high-end camera models, in 2015 the Japanese company has taken an about turn and unveiled only one new product.
And, no, it's not a camera, but a new waterproof lens for its interchangeable lens X-series cameras. The Fujinon XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR lens will join the company's existing lineup, priced £900, and will make a fine addition to any Fujifilm X-T1 owners' arsenal.
