Package MXF files with multiple audio tracks into MKV format
Step 1: Add MXF shootings to the program
Launch Pavtube MXF MultiMixer, click either “Add video” or “Add from Folder” to import your source media files. The program supports batch conversion, so you can add multiple MXF clips into it at a time.
Step 2: Select output format
Depending on your requirement, a multi-track MKV format is what you need. From the Format bar, move to “Multi-track Video” column, and choose “Multi-track MKV (*.mkv)” as the target.
Step 3: Uncheck unwanted audio tracks
By default, the program keeps all the audio channels in your source and repacks them into a MKV container. But you are also allowed to remove undesired audio tracks before conversion.
Click “Settings” button, the “Multi-task Settings” window appears, switch to “Audio” section, and deselect the audio tracks that you don’t need.
Step 4: Start converting MXF to multi-track MKV
In the main interface, click “Convert” button to start conversion. The MXF MultiMixer program will take care of the rest to package all the checked audio tracks as well as your MXF video into the MKV container. (Also read how to convert MXF to MP4 preserving multiple audio tracks)
The Conversion window pops up as soon as you click “Convert” button, on which you can find conversion information like Time elapsed, Time left, and Generated size.
Tick off “Shut down computer after conversion option”, you can leave the program running and do other things instead of waiting around for the conversion.
When conversion completed, you can click “Open output folder” to popup output directory with the converted multi-track MKV files.
Note: If you are using a trial version, there will be Pavtube logo watermark in the middle of output files. To get rid of the logo watermark and get better performance, please click Help > Register > Order to buy its full version.
