This article provides a solution on how to convert DVD to MKV file format with DTS audio, so as to help you successfully play back the converted MKV files in your HD media players which are DTS compatible. Step-by-step instruction
Step 1: Run Pavtube ByteCopy, and then click “Load disc” icon to import your BD/DVD files.
Step 2: If you wanna convert the entire DVD disc to MKV DTS audio, you can click on the disc label (for instance “G :”) to select the whole disc. When the disc is selected, “Edit Disc” button will be highlighted.
Step 3: Click “Edit Disc” button to select “Custom” from drop-down list of “Format” box. Then click “Settings” button to enter the following interface. Tick off “Encode” icon under “All Audio Stream” option, and set dts as audio codec, and then you can set audio channels to original, 1, 2, and 6 at will. Do remember clicking “OK” button to confirm your selections.
If you just wanna convert a certain title of the DVD to MKV with DTS audio, go back to the main interface to tick off the title only, and then click the “Edit” button to edit title streams.
When you enter the “Edit Title Streams” interface, hit “Audio” tag firstly, and then tick off “Encode” icon under the audio streams. After that, set audio codec to dts, and meanwhile choose your needed audio channel as output channel. DTS 1 channel, DTS 2 channels and DTS 6 channels are optional here. Also, do remember clicking “OK” button to save your selections.
Step 4: Click “MKV” button at the bottom right corner of the main interface to start converting DVD to MKV DTS audio. When the conversion is done, click “Open” button to get the converted MKV files with DTS audio.
